RunPod alternative

RunPod alternative: pay in crypto, skip KYC, lock the price

RunPod routes crypto through payment processors and asks for any required KYC first. AnchorGPU rents dedicated cards for a fixed 7 or 30 days, funds accounts on-chain in BTC, XMR, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL or LTC, and needs a username, not an ID. A 30-day H100 SXM is $1,352 ($1.88 per hour of the term); the same 720 hours at RunPod's on-demand rates cost $1,936.80 to $2,512.80.

The offer

A dedicated card for 7 or 30 days, paid on-chain.

USD per card, per term.

You rent one dedicated GPU for exactly 7 or 30 consecutive days: 15 models from the RTX A5000 (24 GB) to the B200 (180 GB) and AMD MI300X (192 GB), in nodes of 1, 2, 4 or 8 cards in Dallas, Ashburn and Portland.

The benefit is a budget that holds: one debit per term when the deployment is accepted, no repricing mid-term, and a lower price on every card as the node grows.

Why choose AnchorGPU

Six reasons to choose AnchorGPU over RunPod for crypto-funded work.

01

Pay on-chain, including Monero

Seven assets fund your balance on-chain, Monero included, each with a published confirmation count; deposits start at $20 and are credited within about a minute once the network confirmations are reached. No processor account and no identity check sit between your wallet and your balance, while RunPod asks for any required KYC before the first crypto payment. See every asset and network.

02

An account without identity fields

Signup is a username, a password of 12 to 128 characters and eight one-time recovery codes. No email, phone, selfie or ID. RunPod's privacy policy lists name, email and phone as contact data. Fewer identifiers, less to link. How no-KYC rental works.

03

A price that cannot move mid-run

One charge per term, never repriced, and renewals reuse the accepted price. RunPod's Pod discount is a 3- or 6-month savings plan paid upfront; here a fixed month needs no such commitment. Price your node.

04

AMD MI300X 192 GB, absent from RunPod's price list

192 GB of HBM3 per card means fewer cards per model: $360 per 7 days or $1,272 per 30 days, and $9,158 for an 8× node after the 10% node discount. MI300X specs and node prices.

05

No shutdown when a balance hits zero

RunPod stops every running Pod at a $0 balance and terminates Pods without a network volume. Here the term is prepaid, so no balance drains mid-run; at expiry without renewal the node stops, and a 72-hour grace window lets you renew before release. Read the instance lifecycle.

06

More host per card, disk included

An AnchorGPU H100 SXM card comes with 24 vCPU, 192 GB of RAM and 3.84 TB of local NVMe. RunPod's H100 SXM Pod lists 20 vCPU and 125 GB of RAM, with disk from $0.10/GB per month. Checkpoints fit at no extra charge. See the H100 SXM configuration.

Fair comparison

When RunPod is the better choice.

  • Short or bursty jobs. RunPod bills compute per second; under the crossover hours above, pay-as-you-go costs less.
  • Serverless inference. RunPod runs API workloads on serverless GPU endpoints; AnchorGPU rents dedicated nodes only.
  • Ready-made templates. RunPod Hub deploys open-source models and templates; AnchorGPU gives you standard images and administrative access.
  • Regions outside the US, or clusters beyond 8 GPUs. RunPod lists 31 regions and clusters of up to 64 GPUs.
  • A cheaper RTX 4090 month. Community Cloud at $0.34/h is $244.80 for 720 hours, below our $312. For image generation by the week, see GPUs for Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI.
  • Card payment or invoicing. RunPod takes cards through Stripe and invoices above $5,000; AnchorGPU is funded in crypto only.

Bottom line. RunPod for elasticity; AnchorGPU for multi-day runs paid in crypto, on an account with no email, phone or ID.

Migration checklist

Move a RunPod workload in five steps.

  1. 01
    Count your hours

Export last month's RunPod usage. Above the crossover hours, a fixed term costs less.

  2. 02
    Match the card and term

The H100 SXM, H200, B200, A100 SXM, L40S and RTX 4090 are on both price lists; the MI300X only here. Pick 1, 2, 4 or 8 cards, and 7 days for a pilot or 30 for steady runs.

  3. 03
    Rebuild the image

Pull your containers onto a standard image and copy weights to local NVMe, with a backup elsewhere.

  4. 04
    Create the account and keys

Choose a username, store the eight recovery codes offline, and add an Ed25519 or ECDSA P-256 SSH key. Automation uses the /api/v1 API with bearer keys.

  5. 05
    Price, then confirm

Price the node; availability is confirmed in your account for your order before any payment is requested.

Before you switch

Straight answers to the usual objections.

What will a month really cost?

The published card price plus chosen options: an H100 SXM month is $1,352, plus $10 for a dedicated IPv4 if needed. No setup fee, and an active term is never repriced. Every price is on the pricing page and in the catalog reference.

What does paying in crypto add?

The blockchain network fee, paid by the sender. Prices are set in USD, the quote shows a $0 deposit fee, and the crypto amount is an indicative, time-stamped conversion of the USD total. The minimum deposit is $20. Crypto payment FAQ.

Is the card available?

You create the account and price the node; availability is confirmed in your account for that order before any payment is requested. A quote alone does not reserve capacity.

How soon can I SSH in?

Your crypto deposit is credited within about a minute once the network confirmations are reached; provisioning time is 20 to 90 minutes depending on configuration, not promised in advance. Plan deadline-bound runs around it.

What if I finish early?

Releasing a healthy instance early brings no prorated refund, so start with 7 days when unsure. A failed deployment or duplicate debit is corrected with a compensating ledger entry.

Why trust AnchorGPU with a month of compute?

You see every term before you pay: deposit from $20, credited in about one minute is requested, the USD total is quoted before any charge, and the rules for term debits, renewal prices, the grace window and ledger corrections are published in the billing ledger guide. Help is self-service: documentation, FAQ and status page.
